EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT: AISHA PARHAM

In this Employee Spotlight, we are excited to introduce Aisha Parham, our dedicated Accounts Receivable Specialist. Aisha has been an invaluable part of the SMC team for over seven years, working remotely from her home in New York City.

Aisha’s role is essential to the financial well-being of SMC Global. Each day, she ensures that customer payments are processed efficiently, daily sales are submitted to the bank, and customer orders are released promptly. Her responsibilities extend to managing past-due payments, monitoring customer credit limits, and processing new customer applications. She also prepares detailed banking reports and oversees the accuracy of daily accounts receivable and inventory balances.

One of Aisha’s favorite aspects of her job is tackling overdue payments. She takes great satisfaction in resolving outstanding balances from customers who are over 60 days past due. Aisha’s commitment to this task has had a significant impact on the company, reflecting her hard work and dedication to maintaining strong customer relationships.

Throughout her time at SMC, Aisha has taken on the challenge of cleaning up past-due accounts, a project she considers her most significant achievement. When she first assumed responsibility for this area, there were numerous unpaid balances that needed attention. Aisha made it her mission to address these issues, and her efforts have led to a noticeable improvement in the company’s financial standing.

Beyond her professional achievements, Aisha brings a positive and energetic spirit to her work. She admits that she can’t live without bubblegum, finding joy in chewing gum and blowing bubbles, especially during stressful moments. If given a superpower, Aisha would choose super speed, allowing her to accomplish even more in a single day.

In her downtime, Aisha enjoys binge-watching Avatar – The Last Airbender and spending quality time with her daughters and family. Weekly family dinners are a cherished tradition, offering a chance to celebrate life together. One item on Aisha’s bucket list is to ride an elephant, a testament to her adventurous spirit.
