Kristin Steinborn

Meet Kristin Steinborn, our Manager of Logistics Services, who has been with SMC Global since 2022. Together with her team, Kristin oversees the movement of goods from suppliers to customers, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and seamless operations. She manages procurement, transportation, and training for a team of five, all while driving continuous improvement across logistics processes.

Since joining SMC, Kristin’s role has evolved significantly. She’s taken on isotank fleet management, expanding dedicated units to support new and growing business lines. She also led procurement optimization, adding new non-vessel operating common carriers (NVOs) and brokerage partners to increase flexibility and efficiency. In addition, Kristin implemented the Orca platform to enhance freight spend auditing and performance analytics.

Kristin’s favorite part of her job? The people. “Our team genuinely enjoys working together, we lean on each other and learn something new every day,” she shared.

Outside of work, Kristin enjoys staying active, traveling with friends and family, and exploring new destinations. She’s an avid music fan, skincare enthusiast, and a proud night owl, averaging just three hours of sleep!

When asked to describe SMC Global in three words, she chose Innovative, Collaborative, and Rewarding, a perfect reflection of both her work ethic and our company culture.

Fun fact: Kristin has crossed Switzerland and the Super Bowl off her bucket list; next up, Africa!
