Eduardo Franco

Meet Eduardo Franco, our dedicated Production Supervisor at the San Angelo site. With three years at SMC Global, Eduardo plays a key role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring production schedules stay on track, and supporting his team to meet deadlines efficiently.

Eduardo’s journey at SMC Global started as an operator, where he gained hands-on experience with daily operations. Over time, he transitioned from the production floor to handling office responsibilities. His hard work and dedication led him to a leadership role, and after two years with the company, he was entrusted with leading the production team.

When asked about his favorite part of the job, Eduardo points to the camaraderie within the San Angelo team and how everyone comes together to execute deadlines seamlessly. One of the most significant projects he has managed was the transition from the Christoval site to the new Dan Hanks site, ensuring daily operations continued smoothly while overseeing the entire move.

Eduardo believes what makes SMC Global unique is the friendly environment across all departments—something he recognizes as rare in many organizations. Looking ahead, he’s excited about the growth opportunities that come with the acquisition of ICC International Chemicals and the potential for new roles within the company.

Outside of work, Eduardo loves spending time with his family—his wife, Staphany, and their two daughters, Sofia (7 years old) and Olivia (3 years old). He also enjoys playing pickleball and is currently binge-watching Ted Lasso. If he could have any superpower, it would be superhuman strength. Growing up, he wanted to be an architectural engineer, and if time allowed, he would love to learn how to play the accordion.
