SMC Global would like to congratulate one of our own, Sean Carter, Assistant Plant Controller at our Kershaw location, who was chosen to be part of the 17th Class of the McLeod Foundation Fellows. Each year the McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, South Carolina chooses a small group of local community members and provides them with the opportunity to learn about the inner workings of the healthcare industry. Sean will take part in an eight-month program that affords him the opportunity to observe surgeries, learn about health and safety, and the financial infrastructure of the healthcare industry.

The innovative McLeod Fellow program takes community leaders behind the scenes and explores complex issues faced today in business and the community. Just as we see the healthcare industry pivoting, every industry will experience similar challenges. This opportunity allows Sean to share this knowledge with us, enabling SMC Global to stay ahead of the curve.

We would like to congratulate Sean for his willingness to contribute to his community and SMC Global.
